Supporting Migrant Communities: A Resource for Practitioners - Website Launch

16/10/2022

In this blog, we aim to introduce a new development of the Everyday Bordering project. Building on the findings collected in the past two years, we secured funding for a new project, called ‘Supporting Migrant Communities: Understanding and addressing the limitations of training resources available to practitioners’.

This brief project has been funded by The University of Sheffield with the aim of developing a training package for practitioners working with migrant communities.

Our partners in this new adventure are: The Humber Coast and Vale Partnership; The Department of Midwifery and Child Health at The University of Hull; Chilypep; and The Goodwin Development Trust.

In the last two weeks, we held two consultation events, one in Sheffield and one in Hull:

            Sheffield

The consultation in Sheffield was held on the 25th of March at Israac.

Thanks to the whole team who supported us!

Hull

The consultation event in Hull was held on the 1st of April.

Thanks to the Goodwin development trust for the support and the amazing location

THANKS TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS FOR THE ENTHUSIASM AND INSIGHTFUL DISCUSSIONS!!

We are now ready to move to the next step!
