How will the research help?

It is hoped that everyone involved in the research will learn and develop new skills and knowledge. The research team are also working with social care workers and migrant families to develop ways to share what we have learnt. This includes:

• Keeping this website up to date and including regular blog posts on project developments and events.

• Developing training to support social care staff that work with families that have migrated to the UK.

• An end-of-project event to share findings and artwork produced by migrant families during the project.

• Writing to and speaking with people that make decisions in local and national government.

• Writing to and speaking with groups that advise and guide social care workers.

• Writing academic papers.  These will be presented and conferences and published in academic journals.

This will influence future research around the everyday lives of migrant families, everyday bordering, and social care practice.
