Ethics: Protecting and working with people

It is essential that the research team aim to protect people that have participated in the study from any type of harm. 

We have done this by:

• ensuring that people involved understand the aims of the research and what taking part might mean for them.

• storing any information from the project in a secure place that only the research team can access.

• changing the names of participants to make sure that nobody’s real name will be used in anything that we say or write about the study.

• receiving the required ethical approvals from the University ethics board and collaborators.
